hi Huw - the 24mm lens turns out to be about 35mm on the D70, i think. It did take me awhile to get used to not having as wide an angle as i'm used to with that same lens on 35mm gear, however, i notice that the D70 takes more of a rectangular photo than standard 35mm cameras, so somehow that seems to be compensating somewhat for the decrease in viewing angle. At some point along the way, i would like to buy myself a good wide angle for my D70, but that will probably be awhile as i just invested in a 90mm macro lens for it, which i love.
