About I drove today for several hours, and was on the Parkway for a short distance. This was one of the few shots I took. The leaves are almost all gone now, and it's almost depressing.

Nice picture. I like the lighting. I was on the parkway a couple weekends ago and took a similar photo. The landscape really changes with the seasons.

There's no prettier place on the planet than the Blue Ridge! Maybe I'm slightly biased. Just slightly!! Great picture.

and a hard place. I know the feeling well. The soft blue sky is amazing Rebecca and I love how it gives the mountains a blue hue. The foreground rocks have excellent clarity and texture. I like the bare tree framing the left side. I could sit on these rocks for hours, just contemplating.

I know what you mean, soon it will be Winter, burr. But it does bring it's own stark beauty with it, as much as I hate to admit it. Great photo... Dottie

Wonderful landscape Rebecca,
The lighting and the deapth of the rocks are great, I like it.
No need for depression, that's life. Ups and downs, good days and bad days, autumn and spring. Life never stays as it is, always changing and we should be thankful to Lord for everything in it whether it's good or bad.
Good work my friend.
Regards,
Khaled.

Looking out there I can just feel myself breathe easier. The only way to make this better would be to cover it all with snow. (I love winter)

I like this better than the B/W version, because of the subtle colors in the distance, and the contrasting ones in the foreground. Ideally you might have a little less sky since there are no clouds to make it interesting. I guess you'd have to be a little closer to the edge of the dropoff to make the horizon higher without excessive foreground. 'Course then you'd lose the bush. (Hmm, lose the Bush, tried for that earlier this week, it didn't work out!)

Very nice photo Rebecca!
I know what You mean about the leaves being gone, It's a real letdown isn't it!
Everything goes from green to multicolor to nothing in a couple weeks! It's worse knowing the cold is coming, But then We get to photograph some pretty snow scenes, so there's always an upside!
Nice scene My friend!
My best..................JOHN

HEY! Leaves gone = Spring is coming! Why is that depressing! Heck woman! The new year is just around the corner... Yeeeeee---ha! I am full of life tonight, and haven't e'en opened me beer yet. I have been on the PArkway... but years before I was into photography. I forgot how lovely the scenery is. Thanks. From the flatland King,
