Another shot that makes me wish you'd experiment for once with stereo images. If the leaves were not swaying in the wind, you could have created a stereo pair with your D70... Can you imagine what the third dimension would do for this? Of course, you might want to go for a greater DOF, as 3D photos are better consistently sharp.

Very beautifull gradients of red! One minor thing, I think the shadow on the lower leaf is too sharp for such a soft image, or maybe not. Very beautifull Chris!

Great contrasty lighting and it gradually gets darker at the top. Makes a great picture. The narrow format works well witht his subject. Don.

Hi Chris; a very nice fall color shot. These red leaves look like a variety of Sumac? The bright reds contrast with the black BG for a dramatic effect. We haven't had a fall frost here yet and so have not had much fall color-- sort of disappointing so far. Thanks for comments on my sky photo-- I like that one too. Cheers. Craig

A beautiful image Chris with great composition and perfect framing. The DOF with the darkish background really makes this image for me. One for my favourites. Regards, Graham.

Fabulous red colours Chris and a lovely composition. The framing also looks super :-)

What I like most..is the small, golden spots on the branches. The deep red is beautifull as long as it stays up the trees.. ;-) so..overall a great picture....red stars with golden flashes around them..very well done.. :-)
Merete PS.I didn't know that our tour was over.. :-/..ok..I'll take off my hat..then...

Interesting explanation :) Well the tone of red is very charming and the background color-dark green i think, is just the opposite color of red, nice combination.
