About This is a view out to sea from Middlenatch Island. Once I got off of the boat "Seaquester" long enough to snap a few photos, the sun drenched the rocky shores long enough to get this photo and a few others. This whole Island is very remote and doesn't get many visitors. Never-the-less it is a bird sanctuary which has non access areas. To bad because I could see that those were some of the best places to get stellar photos.

Hi Tim, I like what you did to the saturation and colour depth. The composition is good, but a little more static than I've come to know your work. On a minor level, a bit more clearance between the rock on the right and the strip of rock leading the eye into the sea / ocean would've balanced the shot a bit more, but that would only be a minor difference. I do find it appealing, though, but that's my personal liking of the tones and the subject.

On a different note, I would've liked a human or something to add a reference to the dimensions in this shot, just as long as to preserve the natural element of this shot. A fisherman in the distance would do the job. A subjective thing, though, and I'm sure not everybody would agree with me on that.

Cheers,

Hugo

Lovely use of foreground and the sun on the rocks. The sky's a bit washed out - could do with an ND grad here but it's a great composition.

The composition really draws the viewer out to sea with the vertical format. The colors are vibrant and it is easy to get a sense of the tranquility of the area.
