Thanks for ideas here. The plant was just too far beyond to make the shoot.

Okay then. Put a book or a brick on the ground so the lens is level with the flowers. Put your ISO on 64, aperture whatever you want, depending on the DOF you want. Drop your shutter speed to allow for the right amount of light needed at the time. Turn the back of the camera up so you can see in the LCD. Make sure the camera will not shake and press the shutter speed. The flash burns the colour and leaves harsh shadows. You can alleviate that by using natural light.

Isn't M mode manuel? I had been lower, had used ISO 400, and think couple ISO 200, and they went all grainy like, a whole lot!! Not sure why?
So use tripod, slower shutter, like what? And what aperature...oh and maybe the ISO 64, huh?
The posted one, I took the saturation lever, + all the way over, didn't think it was right, but gave me best color.
This plant is about to start going bad, maybe get one more whack at it after supper.

Lovely colours. Try getting down lower, turn the flash off, use a tripod and drop your shutter speed. Alter your aperture and use the Mode 'M'.
