Yes, his eyes are dark, and it's hard to get catchlights in them. I'll keep trying! Thanks!

I like the depth of field but the eyes seem very dark here. Maybe just a little on the central side in the frame.

I like the tight crop and your tones are very nice. It would be good if there was a bit more light in this boy's eyes...but that is tough with such dark eyes. All in all, this is a very pleasing portrait.
