I met her in Beijing, and she said she is a Yunan native ? the southern Chinese Province next to my country Vietnam. I shot several normal exposures, but only this one with a fatal error of subject's blinking eyes. When I was about to discard the print, my wife asked me why not try to ... save with a positive caption, like "Yunan Dreamin? Beauty".
Well, so here she is. (Women are always correct and wise). I am sorry about the stripes of shadow on her face because I don't have a reflector.
- Are the skin tones natural or did they get changed with editing..?
- I shot this in June 2004, and only started my lessons on Photoshop and Phase One a few weeks ago. I guess the natural skin tones have been lightly effected by the way the labs in Hanoi processed my films in one way, then Chinese LUCKYCOLOR may had its "hand" in other way. Otherwise, I only edited recently by adding the frame. Thanks for your question.
