The river aire at Kirkstall in Leeds. This is a slow bit next to the wier you can see on the left. The abbey is behind.
After massive disappointment with the 500 shots in Brussles (I need a tripod.... can't do anything good hand-held) I decided I needed some familiar turf to get some better shots at. The trees and lights here are ace at dusk - you get odd colours for the street lights too.
Guess you're wondering whay the sky is darker than the river? Right?
Well I put a 2 stop ND filter on so the river stood out more than the sky.
Pretty pleased with this one steve - just proved taht patience pays off as some of the earlier shots were a bit lifeless. Was only when it was pretty much dark that it got interesting.
