verena, after reading the first line in your "about", i would say "out". mostly because it's an abstract (with or without the top right corner) but it would make a better abstract if that part was cropped. i think the lines would flow better undisturbed.
however, after reading the whole "about" i now have perspective and better appreciation as to what this is. given the nature of the subject i would say "in" to maintain a connection with the subject. however, that connection is only available to the viewer if the image is always accompanied by your text.
aside from that, a wonderful composition. i only wish the sky matched the color of it's reflection. but that is an exposure problem in a tough lighting situation. probably not doable in the field (esp. with a digital camera) not much you can do other than fake it in PS. very nice photo. i like it a lot!
take care, tom

in.....also die ecke da oben rechts...würde ich ganz spontan und aus dem bauch heraus sagen, bringt irgendwie doch noch eine zusätzliche spannung hinein. schönes spiel aus linien licht und formen...

Great lines study with the reflection.
About the top right corner, I have to say out, but it doesn't bother much.

Hi Verena,
natürlich rote karte für oben rechts ;-) (IMHO).
schön herausgearbeitete geometrie, auch die reflektionen rocken das haus.
feine arbeit.

without the top left detail your photo is a snapshot of lines... with this detail the image becomes conceptual, difficult for someone to accept what is the actual meaning of "mixing material " in a photo, this usually has a symbolic effect and this reassures me that the world is not just iron-made...amazing photo!!

Hi Verena; as strong as ever. Excellent use of geometry, structures, perspective and lighting to create an abstract image. Its a very intriguing structure and the inclusion of the rock in the top right corner adds a very ingenious element, completely in line with the building. Very good shot.
Cheers,
Hugo

I'll go with the RTC out vote - my own preference for such images is simplicity. Great shot. AJ

I like those different lines/patterns dear Verena, but I would remove the part of rock in upper right corner IMHO! Kisses, Biliana

oh... i have visited that church and i know why it is so famous... never saw anything quite like that and this is a great abstract shot from there... personally, i would say "out" because it is a bit destracting to the continuity of the upper lines but this is just my personal opinion (so please don't get it wrong)... other than that, a beautiful urban abstract... regards... emy :)
