Thanks for your comments. Nature presents us with so vivid array of pictures that we hardly see them :) I am glad that you like this shot.

Beautiful capture Aurobindo, like the silhoutte of the tree branches against the dramatic "Golden Light" clouds, well done. Thanks much for your recent comment, cheers.

A really unusual shot: it seems a tree over some plasma thing... very intriguing :)

Thanks Anand.

The amazing part of this picture is that when I copied this photograph in my PC after coming home, I was amazed that such beauties of nature lie just around us. I pass this busy crossing of Denver every day while returning from office but never stopped to see how beautiful the sky becomes during evening.

Your's is nice though. I am sure that, while taking your photograph when you saw the sky it was mavellous. But not always every beauty can be captured in photograph. Anyway, that doesnot matter as everying is not meant to be captured :) Our eyes are the greatest camera of all. And mind is the most sophisticated film. Isn't it?

Thanks Ghoul and Paul,
Sometimes colors of sky are so vibrant... This photograph is straight from camera with no post processing.

The V1 is a nice camera, I wanted to buy that but , while waiting to get a good bargain Sony launched the DSC W1 in Calcutta. So I bought that. Although I do not use the digital that much, I love my SLRs but cant wait to shoot films all the time, lol , so the digital comes handy.

Hi Debarshi,

Thanks for the follow-up.

In fact I took the shot in full manual mode. The digital camera I use Sony V1 allows some intermediate (fractional) stops between the conventional stops. That's why I got 1/40 sec in shutter speed.

Yes, actually usefilm will have all the settings available on a conventional SLR camera and a digital camera on an auto mode dosent always shoot following those conventional settings. When a ahoot with my Sony W1 I normally choose the closest settings.

Hi,

Thank you Debarshi for your appreciation. I used 1/40 sec shutter speed at F/8.0. UseFilm site do not have that option to select while posting the picture.

Anyway, I appreciate your comments.

Thanks

A nice abstract image with a great contrast of the black twigs against the colours of the sky.
