The Swift satellite, intended to detect and analyze gamma ray bursts in outer space, was launched Saturday, Nov. 20, 1994 aboard a Delta 2 rocket. Our daughter was one of the NASA scientists leading the team which developed the detector instrument, and she invited us to attend the launch.

Impressive - I have always dreamed of seeing a launch. Everyone will always ask for a little more zoom to make that rocket larger, but when you are that far away it is hard...

You lucky that you got see a rocket taking off. I went to Florida few years ago to see a shuttle lunch and they postponed it by few hours then few days and I was out of luck. It was last night lunch too. I was very disappointed :(
Good picture, a bit more zoom could have made it better in my opinion.
