A winery cooperage, that the public sees. This is one of my favourite photos i have taken. What could have I changed in this photo that would really make it stand out??????? (this was before i had a tripod, so i used my jacket on a barrel to keep the camera steady and level)
I like this Russell. However, I can't help but wonder what a shot straight down the aisle from a low angle and shallow depth of field would look. I see you are planning to revisit this winery.... would love to see more images from here. Thanks for your comments on my restoration project, I see they featured your critique, congratulations. Kind Regards, Melissa
Hanggan, Thanks for your thoughts, this was the reason i placed this photo in the Photo Help section. Yes, a particular barrel in focused would have been an excellent alternative. I am heading back to this winery in the new year, so i might try and sneak into this area and try and apply some of your suggestions. I think an alternative perspective of the barrels will be one i would like to try. Thanks, for your other comments and for adding me to your Friends list. Cheers and Thanks, your humble opinions were greatly recieved. Russell
Dear Russel, In my humble opinion, I guess if you focus on a single barrel (whether in front or in the center), while keeping the background barrels blurred, that will make a better picture. And you can take from different angle to show a more obvious perspective of the barrels. The big barrel in the foreground, somehow feels annoying...no offense..:) Regards, Hanggan
