Larry. I used the ceiling light in my office which isn't too bright plus I placed my desk lamp over the subject. I took this image at night and used the following settings.
Aperture F8
Shutter 1.5 secs
ISO 100
I only know a couple of little tunes on the keyboard but Kita is a little better. She hears a tune and then goes and plays it and sings her own songs that she makes up as she goes. I used to play the guitar when I was a child but wouldn't remember how to now.

Great contrast between the rose and the keys, Judi. I love the way the baby's breath leaves small shadows on the keys as well. It really softens the mood of the shot which I think you were trying to do. Great job.

At your discretion??!!...I think Satie would have a thing or two to say about that. He was a man in very much control of his life and the order in which his life was played. He had a fantacism for hankerchiefs as much as his mutual dislike for critics. He played as he saw fit and his instructions were meant as a dialogue between the composer and the performer only, much to the dismay of others.
I see your choice of artists befitting to this image and can quietly hear him play from up above...serenading the world in a way that makes us all sit up and take notice.
