About The trip of a life time and all the meaning of it comes from the incidental details of it on the way, so the intinerary was obscure. A pilgrimage to Ireland and Belgium tracing the steps of the patron saint of psychosis, Rennes Le Chateau, and the retirement home of Gustav Jung were some major points on the intinereary, predominantly it was where ever we could stay cheaply with friends.
This is from Bollingen, on Lake Zurich, where Jung spent his last years. Had to go there after seeing "A matter of Heart" which is all archival footage of Jung and friends. The film included the old man, aware of his death, getting into a new thing, carving stone.
This is one of his stones.
The water is from the lake. The ducks have been cropped!

Dear Mr. McIntosh,
as far as I can judge, this is our first, but hopefully not our last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm". I took the oportunity to read your bio and look through your entire portfolio. Of course you are inviteted to read my bio and visit my porfolio.
How did you come to the conclusion that I really was a psychiatrist and why were you afraid I was not one?
From all the impressive photos in your portfolio, I decided to comment on this one because despite my not being a follower of Jung, I found it closest to my profession.
BTW, if you send me your e mail address, I will send you my book at no cost to you. Be forwarned, however, Jung is not presented in a favorable light in it. My e mail address is
rafael1930@bezeqint.net
In case you do want the book sent to you, please write "your book" in the subject line.
Best regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future communications) Springmann

you made a congenial picture of this mystical carved stone, overlayed with water. I enjoy the story of your voyage too.

Excellent work document of the great mystical thinker. Here is possible to admire the symbols that he studied so attentive during his live. Marvelous shot.
Thanks.

It?s very interesting to watch your images as a series. A personal narration. One must strive to follow because these are not just ordinary or classical photographs. Good, Ian. My regards. O.
