I like both of them Dale Ann but do prefer the soft focus effect - it is more appealing ... the dreamy look I guess :-)

Fabulous photograph !

Best wishes and a very Happy New Year Dale Ann,

Very nice work, Dale Ann. I like the dreamy effect when it's not overdone, they do look better than the original.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and your family.

original w/out dreamy

Thanks Kay, I liked the dreamy effect too. The original was really bad. My lighting was terrible, I was just using what I had and it was a very overcast day, so I wasn't getting any good natural light either. The dreamy effect really helped this shot out. I will attach the original so you can see the difference it made. I know not everyone appreciates it, but I like it sometimes. Under better circumstances, I might not have needed it, but I think it definately helps this shot out. Thanks for your input!

I like the dreamy effect, DA. I know lots of people don't like it, but it sets it apart from being a "snapshot" to me. And I like the background too- you could always manipulate it and make it softer or change the color.
