About Another of my early attempts of still life
This one has better detail then the previous one, but I still lost some of the detail in the scan, not sure why though

Camera on tripod
One flash, SB28, one camera, another flash, Sunpak 544, on the left bounced into a umbrella with a white reflector card on the right
Cant remember shutter speed or f/stop
Scanner Epson 3170 Photo
Does anyone know if there are any adjustments I can make to this scanner so I dont loose the detail
My slides sometimes come out dark when I scan them

Excellent light and detail. I think it works realy well on the black background. I dont know if you use photoshop but if they come out dark create a layer curve. Grab the centre of the curve and lift upwards. This will increase the exposure to lighten a little. Hope this helps :)

Nice still life. Wonderful colors. I'm not familiar with your scanner, Jim. I have a visioneer one touch and it has a program it uses called Paper Port, and there are many adjustments that can be made. I haven't used it a lot, and it's been a long time now since I have, so I can't even tell you what all it does.
