The lighting is wondeful at this time of night. I love the way the water goes 'glassy' with a few seconds explosure on the waves coming in to shore. Long exposures let us see what we cannot with our 'instantaneous' vision. We assume that all there is to seeing is in an instant. Sometimes reality is unfolding in ways our senses aren't equipped to see. I ramble. Sorry. I like the photo because of the lighting and it reminds me of a beach where I spent many weeks over many years of my childhood. At first I mistook it for that beach on the south coast of Australia!
