wonderful, I like the composition in this one more. The squarer frame flatters the shape of the trees. wonderful repetition of that shape and great mist and dof!

I much prefer the other one. Not just because it is near panorama format (which does suit the scene, you must admit) but because the sharp focus on the trunks of the nearer trees is a much better "anchor" for the sense of depth given by the mistier distances than the branches in this one. They are all up there at the top of the frame, and don't provide the same foreground effect... even though they're much closer. Hope this makes sense.

You sure have a wonderful portfolio Paul ! Picked this one out, because of the very good composition, depth of field, gradation in tones and colours, sharpness and detail on the front tree .. marvellous ! Peter Adding you to my friends list.
