About	I was wandering around the campus at Nottingham University when someone spotting the large lens on the camera suggested heading through the trees to a small stream where there are some water rats. I'm not sure but I think this is just a plain brown rat. It was extremely dark (shot at 1600 ISO), I shot this just as it appeared out of its hole in the bank of the stream. I'm amazed I managed to hold the 100-400 steady at 1/30 sec. I was very lucky! Even with IS turned on I usually get shake at 1/100.

Fabulous rat shot, low light and everything! Love the faint reflection of ratty's face in the water. Ratty also looks very healthy, nice sheen on the fur. Good catch! Amy

What a fantastic capture, great detail, I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to stay around let along hold the camera steady, a 7 for the shot and being there and keeping still
