I guess that's really what I was looking for, though! An awesome capture of an awesome wave!

Purely in terms of producing a great image, I would perhaps consider removing the other guys in the foreground.

Yes i agree Bruce should have a year or so.Andy gets all the spot light and i think Bruce just has had a bad year. Tho andy is great!
I use to live down the road from those two toeheads even then Andy was the alfa!

whooahh, cool shot! were you in the water?
I am so glad to see the surfers from my island doing so well.I am glad someone is there catching the shots.

Wow. what an awesome wave. Tremendously powerful (sorry 'bout the phrasing; need to circumvent UF word filtering, but I'm sure you'll fill in the blanks) What I like is that this shot is not about the action of the surfer, nor of the jetski in the foreground. They're merely peripheral. It's the action and huge power of the thundering surf. Awesome!

Cheers,

Hugo

maurizio, i was actually almost a 1/2 mile away standing on the edge of a cliff about 60 feet above the water. this was one of the smaller waves of the day. occassionally, sets would pass by where the whitewater was almost at eye level.

Sean, impressive capture here, it looks like 30ft... were you on a boat or in the water? I'm not sure I'd like to be in your shoes in that situation! The sound of the ocean must be unforgettable in those conditions...

No worries. Was just looking around and chanced upon this great site. Afterwards, I recalled that you mentioned a critique site. Maybe I'll post something just for fun.
