I think the high contrast, the lack of detail in the shadows and highlights, helps to show this is not real life but rather an inanimate symbol. But it does not detract one bit from this bold and dynamic composition. Nice job.

Lovely composition, although I think maybe a tad too much light, or contrast? You should try this one again sometime when it's not as bright. He makes an excellent subject!
