Looks good. But it's also interesting to see the later addition in full colour, which has some advantages in this shot - though that's a bit like comparing apples and pears and claiming one is better than the other!!!

right under the red there is a little but or something just beginning it's life. Look like red is fighting death, who I see as the gaping mouth thing over to the left of it. Doesn't specifically remind me but Schindler's list the little girl with the red jacket.

This is marvelous: strong, with color in just the right place. ;) Somehow the color you chose reminds me of lipstick though.
(Ok, I read Dylan Thomas in college; I caught the Don Henley allusion right off; what does lipstick have to do with this. Who knows.)

Great work, the strong red against such dark grey, stark but defined shapes round it, makes this a very powerful image Margaret

"Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light." -Dylan Thomas
Dang.... I have too much info to hand. And you never would have titled it this way unless you also know....
Crazy how stuff we pick up in high school still stays wiff us....
