Thanks Den. Actually I know somebody who was upset they missed this sunset. Ricco was driving home from work and watched the sunset all the way in, cursing he didn't have his camera with him. Geez, I had fun when I saw him the next day. LOL!!

Fantastic clouds and a great composition. I like the way the upper band of clouds connects the two dark areas. The lone tree at the bottom creates a nice area of interest at the bottom. Good work to take out the poles and such too. Well done!

Okay here is the original. Unfortunately because of the size restriction on this site, you cannot see them very well. At the larger size you would be able to. Down the bottom centre you will see a power pole. There are power lines going from each side of this pole right across and into the trees. There is also the neighbours TV aerial sticking out of the large tree. That was removed also.

Ages ago now! 1992... just for 1 year before returning to the UK. My ex wife's mother lived near Mooloolaba (think thats right!) and we lived nr Surfers Paradise. I remember glorious sunsets, amazing thunderstorms and endless snny days...

Larry, I will let you in on a little secret. There were powerpoles and powerlines in the image. That was one thing I did change in the image, to remove them. Oh and of course I added the frame.

Thanks Bruce. I duplicated the layer and reduce the layer copy to fit within the layer below and added a thin border to it.
I then gaussian blurred the bottom layer and gave it a buttonize effect.
