Actualy it was just a handheld flash I'd hold it behind myself and flash me from behind., and all my "assistant" did was push the button. It is a little disapointing that I cropped myself a little bit, but It was an extremely tough shot to get. Thanks for your comment!
I really like this and I think the cropped from figure actually works, leading into the shot. I also would have liked to see the figure closer up, identifiable as a real person.
Excellent, excellent idea that isn't quite fully realized. Too bad the nearest figure is cropped. To make this picture really effective, I think you need a figure much closer up so the viewer can see it's a real person not an e.g. department store dummy. Did you have an assistant helping to paint you with light as well as a light source that you moved with you, placing behind you at each new location?
