Beautiful tonality you got here and such a wonderful scenery you captured. This crooked old dead tree is beautiful. Well composed image, between the stems our eyes can enjoy the landscpae background!

Not sure that it is petrified but it sure looks nice.Nice detail & composition. Maybe a tad bit more to the base of the image would help.

I think it's an interesting fotograph and an interesting subject with loads of potential. But perhaps there are a few distractions that take away from the current fotograph. In the upper left, the dead bristlecone barely falls out of the frame -- I would think it might be more pleasing to have it either fall completely in the frame or have more falling out of the frame. As it falls in the frame now, I cannot tell you if you meant to have this happen or not. The same problem occurs at the bottom left as well.

The perspective you've chosen is also a little challenging because the bristlecone merges with the middleground... blocks the eye from flowing through the foto.

Well I believe the foto has potential but it might prove interesting to recompose this one. Thanks for sharing.
