Nope, no liberties taken :) - Like I said, I like the rework (very much). Just giving you my motivation for why i left it as it is. I didn't want to put my motivation in the description, cause then I wont get comments and suggestions like I did :)

That does makes sense Michael and the image works well in that regard. Apologies if I have taken liberties.

Sean! I like the rework. What you did with the frame is how I matted the print in a real frame. I am not too fond of the new softness though. The harhness of my original captures for me the harshness of her mood and emotion, minutes after having had words with her mother it still permeated from her.

Hey Michael. This is really great. I like the crop and you have placed your daughter nicely in the frame leaving a pleasing amount of negative space. I think I would agree with Michele. Maybe you could put the toned layer on a different layer to the original and reduce the opacity a bit? Also a duplicate layer with a Gaussian Blur of about 6-8 pixels and then a soft light blend works nicely sometimes. I have taken the liberty of attaching a reworked example for you using the above. Obviously I do not have an original so just had to make do with the toned copy. I also added a frame to 'contain' the black space.
I apologise for doing this on my first post, but if I like an image, I always try to see it critically. :)

Leave me Alone - Reworked

Michele, thanks . .by softer toning, do you mean "yellower, "blue-er"? What would be softer toning here?

really greatly composed. the only thing that doesn't work to me is toning: kids need a softer toning... this one is too strong IMO :-)
