About This panorama was made using seven photographs. I manually put them together in PS. I could've used a panoramic maker but I felt it didn't join them as well as they could've been.

This image shows a 180 degree view of the sunset. The foreground was purposely left there to show you the scale of the sky. The road and the rails in the foreground is the same road I used in 'Sunset Strip' but these image were taken about 10 minutes beforehand. These images were amongst the last of the photos I took last night. I wanted to stay longer but my daughter was hassling me to go home.

ISO 64
Shutter 1/40
Aperture F8

Dave Stacey, you were fascinated with the clouds and the colours in one of the previous images of this sunset, so this panorama is for you. I hope you enjoy it.

Thankyou so much Sam. I like your panorama. It is a view that I would probably not get to see in real life, so thankyou for sharing. And thankyou for your wonderful comments on my photos. I really appreciate that.

Wow. stunning and beautiful. (I need to visit Australia). You did a fantastic job manually stitching them together-- I know how hard that can be, especially with clouds and the quickly changing light of a sunset. --

mine only experience using photoshop to manually stitch panoramics was in the himalayas without sunset colors: http://www.usefilm.com/image/559382.html

The vivid colors are just incredible, such wonderful hues of vibrant reds, oranges and yellows and reflections and perturbations of textured clouds. wonderful! 7!!

Dottie, thankyou. I find that most panorama makers don't do the job they are meant to...so I manually make them most of the time. My Sony is doing really well. I hope to get the Canon 20 D soon, so I will have two going. But all in good time.

Thanks James. I get so frustrated when I see seams in panoramas that I go to extreme lengths to ensure they are not there. Otherwise they distract from the whole image and then what is the point of making a panorama. LOL!!

Really nice shot, I haven't quite mastered the panorama thing in PS yet. How is your Sony doing for you. I have a Mavica, but some of the discs were suddenly flashing " error " and I would lose any of my pics not fianlized. I bought a Canon & now my little Sony sits in the closet. :{

Well done Judi. It must of taken you quite awhile to stich these together by hand. You did a super job. I could not find one seam or error. Gosh, you were treated to a beaut. I hate to sound like a broken record But! that was an awesome sky and gorgeous colors.

7+++++++++++++++++++++++ judy: incredible panoramic,I know that it is almost impossible to assemble so perfect a sunset, because I am trying to assemble one of 5 or 6 pics and the colors of the sky only is the same in one or 2, the central pics, but in those of the ends I cannot make that the union is not noticed. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
great work, will I send you an e-mail to see if you can help me with that pic, ok?
God blesses you dear friend: D
