About I was tracking some buzzards gliding in to their evening roost, and saw this.

How do I get rid of the ringing around the buzzard? I realize it's an artifact of sharpening.

Great capture Paul. You can get rid of that ring in PS, by using the "clone stamp" tool and setting its mode to "Darken", this will clone over the bright areas only leaving the bird intact. And then use same tool with mode set to "Normal" to clone over the left pixels that are away from the bird. Here's my attempt.
