About Another 28mm shot...according to Hugo de Wolf?s words : "When shooting, there is only one way to be absolutely sure that the camera is kept horizontal, and that is to put a spirit level on the hotshoe of the camera... I just found out you can buy these things!"

Today is my hometown 451th anniversary of foundation.. This was its first chapell, built in 1554, known as "Pateo do Colegio"
"The small village of Sao Paulo de Piratininga made a giant out of Brazil, with its economic power, its multicultural quality and its resistance to adversities. The Portuguese João Ramalho, who had been living in these lands for some time, even before the arrival of Martim Alfonso de Sousa in São Vicente (1532), can be considered, in fact, the real father of the so called Planalto Paulista (São Paulo?s Plateau).
He was the one who made way for the Jesuit priests and taught them how to reach a region of ?cool and temperate air like that found in Spain?. It was João Ramalho who beat the Indian resistance and became Lord of the Piratininga fields, where, on the 25th of January, 1554, the priests Manoel da Nóbrega and José de Anchieta founded São Paulo?s Royal School (Real Collegio)on a date that coincided with the anniversary of the conversion of St. Paul, or São Paulo. The reconstructed chapel of the original school at Pateo do Colegio is open to the public in the city center. "

I have added this to my Favourite... as it must be remembered for when I next visit SPO

The About is so informative... that I do not even have to look up in my books

Thank you for sharing!

Thank goodness for 'spirit', that there is a bar nearby to quench our thirsts, and leave those others in their graveyards... under the chapel...

Carmem.

Fora a edição..

Excelente o ângulo escolhido, pois agora sei as condições do lugar... :)

Grande abraço,
Márcia.
