Silly is good. If we had more silly people the world would need fewer psychiatrists. By the way did you see Jacko in his PJ's today!!!!!!

Thanks Audra, this is my fav colour shot. Sadly the tree is dead, maybe that's why I like it so much. It seems to represent all that is good in the world, and how easily it can be lost.

Neat sky! This one uses the fence...I dig the fence here. Weird little stick tree...eheheh.. I find it endearing.

Thanks again Michael. I am learning to deal with colour, and my new D70. I am lucky to live in a place with great colours, and light.

Thanks again Pat. I am just starting to take colour photography more seriously, and I am finding it quite a challenge.

Yes Richard. I like this one much better. The footsteps lead you into the frame. The fence has nice texture. And you can feel how the wind has influenced the growth of this tree. The background does not distract. Very well done

Good eye Darren, it was a sunset. The sun was at my back moments before setting for this one. It does wonders for colour saturation I am learning. Thanks for the comment Darren.

Just love the light and COLORS in this one too. Having that post off center allowed the tree to be in the center and still have enough tension in your photo to make it interesting. Excellent, Richard.
Oh by the way there is a new firmware update on the Nikon site for the D70...fixs some small software problems i guess.

This almost looks like the colors of a sunset. Cool composure on this one Richard. The colors really are vibrant as well. Congrats. Darren

Actually Emy, it is not as complex as I thought. I have the advantage in that in a lot of ways it resembles my Nikon F80. I have to admit the book does look intimidating though!!!!!!!!! Enjoy the learning!!!!

with your new cam my friend you can be in whatever "box" you want and if you don't like it you just have to delete it and try smt else... you know, i 've just had my own D70 delivered but haven't read the manual yet... looks sooo difficult... but yes, experimentation is ahead of us for us to find!!!!!

Thanks Em. Maybe I will be more experimental with this camera. I have stayed "in the box" a bit too much I think.

Thanks Rebecca. I am still not totally comfortable with colour. This shot seems too "juiced" to me, I need more experience with "PHOTOSHOPPING" a colour image.

Thanks Fadel. I am enjoying the D70, but there is a lot to learn about it and colour photography in general. I'll have to upgrade my Photoshop skills as well.
