Thanks Lee, As norma; the eagles had plans of their own. When I pulled into my spot, a little public area near an old dam where there is still un frozen open water, there was allready an eagle sitting in a tree watching the water. This was still before sunrise. I had to sit in my car and wait for the light. I did get some shots of him. after he flew off I set out the bait and got into my blind. nothing happend for hours so I decided to take a drive. I ended up taking all my shots from the car. Best day I have had to date with the eagles. Still want a full frame tight shot so I have not given up on the plan. As for your luck the other day, I think persistance will pay off in the end.

Thanks Dot! I only have to travel about 20 miles to find these guys. They tend to be near open water (not frozen) So, it makes it easy to find a general area to start looking for them. It's taken alot of time watching from afar to learn their patterns.
