I am really sorry to hear that Ray...
Like you said, it is very sad not to know "what would have been" of us, as adults, to live our lives with a dad.
I still miss him after 21 years. It's such a long time but sometimes it feels like time stopped and it was yesterday when I talked to him.
All the best to u, my friend.

I feel your pain too Mark.
Although life has its cycle and it is naturally "expected" to lose a parent. It's still hard to understand why... Unfortunately for me, I was just 13 and had no chance to enjoy him more.
I hope u did.
Cheers

my sympathies Pat, to lose one's father at an early age leaves an empty place that is never far away, a void that is never filled, regardless of the good, or the bad, that life brings, the loss is huge, the regret and longing for what was, and what might have been
when I was sixteen my forty year old father drowned, though within my grasp, I was not strong enough to save him

Hey Pat, first time commenting on your photos because I just don't feel the need to remark about my tongue hanging out or whatever. I think you're a misunderstood soul my friend. This photo has over a hundred views and no nudity. What it does expose is your heart and that you are passionate about your life and legacy. No one will ever be able to take that from you. So, you can continue with the eye candy and take the flak but I sense you'l continue to be true to your vision no matter what. Your technique is admirable but as always you need to follow your own creative vision and just be yourself. I lost my Dad this past year and I have a few good shots of him that I took but the most vivid portrait is inside , not on paper. Later...-mm

"So wise so young, they say do never live long." - Shakespear
"Death ends a life, not a relationship." - Jack Lemmon
"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." - Erma Bombeck
I find that in these types of situations many others often find better words than I. My thoughts are with you on this day Pat. I too know what it is to loose a loved one, as many do, and the thought never leaves, nor should it. So I celebrate the life your father led and the goodness he brought into this world, even though I never knew him.
Cheers
