Amazing how beautiful flying *above* a tornado can be, isn't it? We were flying back from Detroit to Dallas, and there was tornado activity below us right around sunset. It was so beautiful that I had to grab my camera and take some photos of it. When we got on the ground and in our car driving home, it wasn't nearly so pretty! Total darkness and hard, driving rain - and lots of traffic. I had my ears attuned and eyes open wide looking for any sign of a tornado approaching! Obviously we returned home safely, but we couldn't get there fast enough! ;-D
wow... what a once in a lifetime photo, it does look gorgeous, almost heavenly.... well done, although i wouldn't get in a plane for quids... frightens the livin daylights outta me.... it's very hard for me to imagine what it must be like living through torneado season, living in australia we have some pretty awesome hail storms but nothing compared to what you guy's get .... take care and great shot cheers kel
Hi Patrick - Thanks for all of your comments about this photo. It does give you a real feeling of "other-worldliness", heaven, God - all put together. It was much more amazing to actually see than one can *ever* capture with a camera, as we all well know. Tell your roommate thank you for me for his thoughts as well!
Kamron, my roomate, says that your picture is beautiful, it must be like heaven. I agree, it is glorious and rich with beauty. Do you fly often? I am so glad you took a pic, when I am up there, there is a feeling of godliness, being among the clouds, sky and light from above raining down.
