About What do you do on a Saturday night, after some skiing and a sauna... pour a Richard and look up a recipe...

Skordalia... considered a peasant fare in Greece.
Boil 6 potatoes, peel and crush two full garlics, peel soft
patates, mash together adding salt to taste, olive oil, and juice
from 2 lemons.

Add parsley on top, serve hot or cold... but plan on...sleeping alone!

Ahhh open a nice Greek red... and then conclude that a dial-up at the farm is really slow!

ENJOY!

Μwουρδέτο. Bourdeto is another popular dish it comes from the Venetian word brodeto which means broth. It is always fish cooked in a tomato sauce with onion , garlic and red spicy pepper. The best fish for bourdeto is Scorpios. This is a red colored fish very bony but delicious.

It is SKORDALIA and I just hate it!hahaha! It is very strong and then you cannot kiss your friends and the people around will suffer from drop of blood pressure! You are so great In Transit and you seem to like exotic food, why don't you try Bourdeto? It is a delicacy who very few know in Greece.Very tasty, check it out !!!Oh, and it is only morning !I saw Skordalia and...how am I going to eat my breakfast!!!!?hahah! It is not your fault, of course, hahah!Kisses!

ohhhh... skordalia!!! personally i like it a lot whether you add bread or not... it is a custom to eat it with fish (but i don't know its name in english) on the 25 of March!!! but everyone around has to eat as well for obvious reason !!! great capture of a cuisine table perfectly prepared!!! could have illustrated a cooking book... plus you "about"... a cooking book with attitude and humor!! well done once again IT! emy

To Lily... You must be Greek... +?

The idea of walnuts is perfect... and next time... n usually take old baquettes n roast with chopped dried tomatoes & garlic to serve as crumbs... if not first offered to the birds...

Thank you!

Adding chopped walnuts is good too. Try that next time. We also use breadcrumbs in this recipe (bread soaked, softened, squeezed dry and then crumbled up).
