George, Thanks for your comment, In Paintshop Pro I can use pre designed frames and this is a frame that is a mask. I used it to try to remove some unwanted areas that I could not crop without cutting into the subject too much and i did not want to clone them out. This was a lazy way. The fade to black was done by using the Weave effect and taking it to be One Weave Square. I did could not find a Weave number pattern I liked, so I kept moving the settings until I got this...

Lovely bouquet, Peter. I do like the edge treatment (although many seem to prefer the stolid rectangle ;-). The fade to gray instead of white you've chosen is very interesting--presenting a sort of picture-within-a-picture.
