Paul! Thanks for your comments, much appreciated! I'm amazed to hear you've only recently moved off point and shoot. Your work shows you are serious about landscape photography. I'd looks to be of pro, exhibition, quality, printing techniques notwithstanding, and there should be a paying market out there for it, if your not already doing so. Good luck. Ian

Thanks for your reply Ian. I've only been taking photos seriously (other than with a point & shoot camera) for about a year now and I'm still not sure how to describe what makes a good photo - I either like a composition or I don't. Still, I really appreciate the constructive comments I've received so far, so I'll make an effort to reciprocate in future.

Hi Paul, I thought there might be a site problem but after looking at your stats now I understand. The K after your name is a figure calculated according to comments you make on other members photos. As you didn't leave any yet that accounts for the zero! It's up to you and everyone has there own methods, it just seemed odd as I have seen your work on here over some time. You're clearly a very good photographer and have a lot to offer other members by way of analysis of their photos, good quality critique is actually quite hard to come by and I can understand why you might not want to just give meaningless comments and time of course can be an issue. I personally find I can learn much from looking at and trying to make a meaningful comment about someone else's art. It's really up to the individual and your superb work is a highly valuable contribution in its own right. I was just confused, and another reason is I know another Paul Edwards from a different site so when I saw the zero I thought it might be him on here for the first time! I look forward to seeing more of those fabulous landscapes. Ian

I don't even know what the K stands for. Sorry, I'm a bit of a beginner with all this stuff. Please explain.

No filters; I just used Photoshop to bring out the highlights on the cliffs.

Terrific exposure, the sky is very complimentary to the landscape. Reminds me very much of Marloes. Terrific portfolio Paul. Why the zero K? Ian

The composition and side lighting add a nice sence of depth and really lead the viewer into the scene. The rocks stand out nicely against the sky and everything looks pretty sharp. Very nice.
