About Do yourself a favour and find a bottle or two of Chardonnay (or any white) from the Marlborough region in New Zealand...absolute heaven! The one thing the Kiwi's can do better than the Aussie's!

I took this over a lazy indulgent lunch at Highfields Winery.

Una gradita somiglianza con un mio scatto, dove perņ ho scelto di mettere a fuoco ciņ che si vedeva NEL bicchiere, insomma al contrario della tua (con la quale non oso neppure competere!)

Best regards,
Laura

Nice composition Peta, I'm seeing more of the background thru the wine glass of which the emphasis is on, well done.

Excellent image!
this type of images were really popular in the 50s with the picture of the pyramid in the wine class, cant remember who took the image, anyway?it looks easy but its not! I tried to take lots of pictures like these but the focusing never came out this good!u focused on the class instead of the image reflected in it?I was trying to focus on the reflection guess that what made it harder :)
well done 7/7

I like the perspective a lot on this image. The wine marks a straight line on the glas whereas the top and bottom of the glass are slanted due to the perspective. I find that combination very good in this photo. The clarity of the pictures is also great.

Good job,
Luis

Glad you agree with me Russ! My name is Fletcher too btw...and I came across a really old grave in Kaikoura of a another Fletcher that died in 1882. I got an eerie pic, will post soon for you to check out : )

I also got to try a bunch of wineries in Martinborough and I was so impressed with a few Pinots actually. Stay clear of Argentinian reds, they are potent (although maybe someone spiked my glass to get their way with me, lol).

Peta,
Awesome shot, love the mirrored reflection of the mountain ranges in the wine glass.
Great call on the Marlborough white wines, they are my pick too. General way i choose wines, White wines from NZ, Reds from OZ.
And i am not biased even though I am a kiwi that worked at a Marlborough Winery for a couple of summers.
Will have to give ppdix's shiraz a try.
Thanks for the NZ wine plug.
Russell

Excellent work!

Great clarity and a nice idea... How come there is no lipstick on the glass?

Hmm. I know of an Argentinian Chiraz that will put down the best of the best Aussie or Kiwi wines...

:^P

Nice one, Peta. I can't see any naked women in that glass, though :P -- kidding aside, you seem to be having some undeniably wonderful weather, as compared to me. It actually made it to 40?F today...and maybe we melted a bit of snow.
