A long time has passed since we last corresponded, James and you posted many new beautiful photos. From all of them I opted to comment on this one because I liked the oblique composition and the deep red of the petals, to which you fitted the color of the frame.

Thanks for your kind comment, the lighting was just a ceiling light but the flower was positioned away from it to just catch the light on one side.

Excellent work James! I like the contrasts in colour between the flower and the blackness of the background (I always think flowers look best against plain and high contrast backgrounds). Beautifully lit and composed... Well done!
