Konstantin - since you used a polarizer on this shot, the other trick you might try with your digital is to underexpose a stop or two and then work with PS to brighten up. Levels usually does it. That way you can preserve the detail in some of the highlights.
High contrast like this is tough to get right, so bracket liberally and try a few different stops to have plenty of raw material when you get home.
I took slides on Kilimanjaro two years ago and many of them are blown out in the highlights due to contrasty scenes. Didn't have the digital then ... would have been nice.

Forgot to mention: this is the artificial lake Nourek in Tajikistan. The eroded red rocks show the high water level which may reach up to 180 ft. Water is crystal clear, though. Very nice and refreshing in summer. Good fishing as well..

RM Hackney!
Kenko Circ. PL. used here. It would be impossible without one, indeed.
Cheers!

Konstantin - where is this??? Beautiful capture of a beautiful view.
Maybe a polarizer (if you didn't use one) could have bumped up the saturation and darkened the sky a bit.
Any way ... well done! And thank for the comment on "Amur at Sunset". Mark

great shot, it is so abstract in some ways. This photo also makes me wonder just how the surface of earth acheves such convoluted shapes and forms. a beautiful photo.
