Wow, I have a shot very similar to this (page 6 - tranquil reflections). Love yours too.

I love the simple beauty captured in this image! Not a firey sunset, or a shot of the Grand Canyon ... just the "backwaters" (literally and figuratively) that are some of the most beautiful parts of the US.

Thanks Steven. This was at W.C. Johnson Park in Collierville. There is a nature walk in the back. Very nice, the terrain is almost like you aren't in Memphis anymore. We've seen deer, black snakes, turtles, large birds (sorry don't know what kind but they had long legs :), and much more all within a couple feet from us. It's all protected since it's wetlands and only a simple boardwalk is placed over it. It's really much prettier when it greens up though - there is so much life there. Right now it looks more desolate. There are some interesting areas in Lakeland too. Lakeland's terrain is very hilly, reminds me some of East Tn or Nashville. Go north on Canada Road and you'll find a few parks with lots of trees and natural lakes (not the man-made like in Shelby Forest). Also, Davies Plantation. We really should exchange emails some time! I'd love to hear more about your upcoming show.

Cool colors, the water is so mirky. Great find and capture! I don't notice any quality loss either!
