Very nice macro work Mark. The color and detail are great. I agree with Evelyn that more blur or contrast would make the frame more apparent, but it is nice as is.

Very striking photo of the crocus! The colors are great. I do like your framing - I think I may have blurred it just a bit more... or faded it out some... or? lots of possibilities. Nice as it is, but a stronger contrast with the center might be even better. You won't know for sure until you try.
