About This is a house. It is simple. That's all that needs to be said about this pic.

However, I want to share a bit of my life with all y'all.

I got my first digital camera for my birthday last year (June 5th 2004). We went to the beach that day and I took my camera with me. We went to a specific place. It was the first place I'd ever taken digital photographs with my own camera. I returned to that very place today. Not only has it changed, but I've changed as well. My photographs have changed. And I realized that, even after less than a year, I have improved.

*sigh* I'm confused when I should do stuff in thirds or not. Oh well. It'll come to me. Although, I have to admit that the thirds rules you were telling me were going through my head as I shot this one. Yeah, your's leans back a lot. Thanks for going the extra mile though!

I'm getting off in a second cause I just put a new one up. When I look at my "repair job" I still don't like the way it tilts back. I actually would have shot it straight on like a pyramid, not showing the roof at all. Then put someone intresting / creepy in the window. Anyway......

Forgot to fill in the top left corner with the light gray but PRETEND it's there., I like it better now - see my point. If you had a scary old Lady / Man at the window then it would be a killer shot. Mark

Dear Ashley, You don't do EVERYTHING in thirds. Sometimes you center stuff. In your shot there's nothing in the "empty space" to counter balance the house. Look at images as weight - there's too much "weight" on the left side and nothing on the right - your image is gonna tip over. I did a little re-crop and a little PS magic (sloopy, but I'm slowly getting the hang of the basics. I hope it works when I try to post it here. Tell me what you think . Mark
