Hello, Marian~
I love reading your comments to others... you certainly have a gift of encouragement!
I love pictures like this... reflections, Juxtaposition of the new and the old, and something not as often seen... The natural (The hill) and the man-made(Usually it is buildings reflected in buildings, so this is very nice!)
As far as the cropping goes... I think that "Many things go", depending on what you want to emphasize....
I saw Teunis' and said... "Oh, yes..Lovely!" (and the reflection and lovely yellow building receive the attention). The large blank wall is minimized, and the "busy-ness" is removed in the lower left corner.
Further down... Evelyn's.... I agreed with the "line of the building" thought, (;-D) but would prefer to leave more of the street showing, because I also like the green building, and further continuation of the line of the hill...
So.. play, crop, don't crop, and choose your favorite from a variety (quite often, I end up liking the original just as much if not more than any crops)!
I'll try to load my crop, just for the fun of it... :)
Yike! All this comment from a fairly novice "hobby" photographer! :) Hope it's helpful!
Lis

Dear Marian, thank you for taking time to comment on "Mirror on the Wall". I am happy you enjoyed it. I like this picture very much - it is a beautiful reflection. Since you are asking for critique, I decided to join in here. I very much respect the opinions expressed, but on of the things I liked about this photo is the stairstep top of the building mirroring the slope of the hill. By the same token, it would be a mistake to crop all of the city street to the right as that continues the line of the slope. However, that big blank wall on the left would be better off minimized. Add a little frame, and... well, I like this better than some other crop possibilities, but... tell me what you think? I must say, thank you for sharing your beautiful country with us! Evelyn

Lovely imge Marian! The reflections are excellent. I think a closer crop the remove the building on the left and also the top might be beneficial though? I've done it below to show you what I mean (I also cropped the right a touch and corrected the verticals on the right). Other than that this is really good! Well done!

I like them also, Marion. Good eye for reflections. I also like what little I see of the fountain. I am guessing there are many fountains in Athens. How about posting some of those?
Best wishes, Jimmy

Fabulous reflection and a wonderful contrast of building styles. I would perhaps consider cropping the blank wall at left. (I would also like to see a little bit more of the fountain at the bottom so that it is not slightly out of image.)
With best wishes for Easter, either today or in a month!
