bjorn, thanks for your comment. and of course i don't mind ;^)

i like this photo. how could you not? it's a classic. your composition is very good but i would've tried it later or earlier in the day. as it is, there is very little color contrast between the tress, the background and the sky. the light is a bit flat. later in the day, the sky would appear bluer and the background trees warmer. this would provide an interesting (and colorful) backdrop to this lady walking amongst trees. shadows would be strengthened adding a bit more "moodyness" to the photo.

actually, just saw your b&w version and in my opnion is the better one. the b&w treatment solves the issues i mentioned above in a different way but very nicely nonetheless.

take care,
tom

+++ sehr schöne Symbolik in diesem Bild. Ist es ein junger oder ein alter Menssch, der / die dort geht? wohin geht der weg? Das ende liegt vor uns egal wo wir sind +++

I really like this image. The long pathway with the woman holding her hat as if in wonder as to what she may discover. I think this image would look great in BW.

Thankyou so much Bjorn for adding me to your friends list.

Well, actually, I am working on a series of landscape fotos for a project in school, but these need to be shot on black and white film, and need a red line throughout the series. The red line is my girlfriend walking in the scene with her white hat. And this picture is the digital tryout before shooting it on film. So, since this is for a very important project, please give me ALL your comments... (attached is the currect digital version converted to B&W)
