There are many rewards to not washing your windows, and this is the best one ever. I shot birds through it all day, and wound up with four very different results, which I will post one-a-day tonight, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
The simplicity of the compositional elements here, still recognizable, give it a painterly feel, almost like a block print or watercolor. The stark washed-out color, and the faded dirty glass that stands between us and the bird (and the outside world, I presume) gives it a very desolate feel.
