About A picture that has deeper meanings for me. I found this amongst some rocks at Hopeman Bay, Moray, Scotland. I was in melancholic mood as it was an anniversary of an unhappy memory for me so it is perhaps unsurprising that I should associate the pebble choked seam in a piece of sandstone with such simnister overtones. Although the rocks are not ideally placed it seemed blasphemous to alter anything so I photographed it as I found it. Please do have a look at my website at www.transientlight.co.uk you will find a much more joyous world of colour and light, a world that better reflects my personality.

I think it is a very beautiful image and the rocks colors and sizes are well placed . the colors are very rich and you have gotten some beautiful detail. Alison

Ian, great title! I tried a similar shot in New Zealand last month, but this is much better! Excellent colours, and although so simple there is so much to see!

I love the simplicity of this. Great colors and the random placement of the larger stones in comparison to the tiny pepples "choking" the seam between the two pieces. The lighting has to be a factor in this as well as your adept skill at noticing a great image.
