About FinPix S3100
Photographed: April 9, 2005 8:38 AM
Texas Hill Country Wild flower field trip series. Hwy 1431
This was a wide shot, but I cropped to only one Bluebonnet and it's background.
Since this was in bright sun and i forgot to lower my Exposure Bias I used PSP to reduce the bright areas.

I like the effect with the log highlighted. Those beautiful bluebonnets grow just anywhere and are a delight to see, and you have captured a nice contrast between the different blues in the flowers and the brush in the background.

Looks so natural here -- I love the way sunshine highlights flowers but have the hardest time maintaining any detail in those areas. Here I think the highlights in the log behind the flower are a bit too distracting but you sure got beautiful detail in the bluebonnet!
