Gaura biennis
Evening Primrose family (Onagraceae)
biennial beeblossom

Onagraceae Family- Gaura from the Greek meaning "superb" and biennis from the Latin for "biannual"

Some Native Americans chewed the flowers and rubbed the paste on their hands to help them catch horses. One can only guess as to how this helped catch a horse.

Grows to six feet with small pink flowers. Completes its life-cycle in two years.
