About This is one of my all time favorite shots because I captured exactly what I was going for. This street performer had been out in the very hot summer sun dancing for hours just to get some spare change tossed into his hat. He was exhausted but he keep right on dancing to a little portable player he had tucked away. I wanted to show how completly drained he was. I think this shot does that. I find it quite melancholy and a metaphor for how we all have to struggle in life - nothing comes easy. I really connect to this shot somehow. Scanned off a 11 x 14 inch print on the Epson flatbed. No PS used.

This shot is outstanding. What an incredible image - hits me like a brick. Your about is amazing as well. The angle of the shot reminds me of a movie about Havana for some reason - the zoot-suit feel perhaps? The angle makes me want to catch him. Thank you for sharing this moment. Paul is right about worthy of an award...

Thanks to everybody. And to Arwa to answer your question, I do lose a little on the sides and top/bottom when I scan my very large prints so it changes it a bit but if I had to find the slide it would never be put up - I'm A LITTLE disorganized - haha. Thanks for stopping by, Mark
