About Another messenger from the rainforest of Costa Rica.
This type of poison dart frog is not too dangerous, but some species have toxic chemicals in their skin that are so dangerous they can kill a person. The venom and the bright colors in poison dart frogs warn and protect them from potential predators.
Some natives from South Americans use their venom to make poisonous darts for hunting. They capture the frogs by using a leaf to pick it up, so the poison doesn't get on their hands. They rub the tip of the dart in the poisonous mucous of the frog's skin and the arrow is ready for the blowgun.

Wow.. I never thought that there are Frogs which have this colour,,
Bright and shiny..
I liked the information you offered too..
The depth of field guides the eye directly towards the frog..
Nice Shot :)

Hi Mary, you have mentioned a very interesting observation.
That?s life; a game of masks, where sometimes things aren?t as they seen and sometimes things are as they don?t seen. Evolution is continuously challenging the genes to makes life forms more successful. The survival of the fittest by means of natural selection. The powerful muscles of the constrictors are as lethal as the venom of the little Dendrobates. That?s fascinating.
Thanks for your smart comment.

Hi Angelo,
These guys are very fast moving, but you can get very close to then. Usually if they feel under threat, they will go down the understory debris and hide. It's no recommended to touch them because some are poisonous and also because their skin is very sensitive.
Thanks for your comments.

You do have some interestinly coloured animals. This one is sort of cute, but obviously quite dangerous. So, a very large snake, or a small cute looking frog--who'd have quessed that teh little guy is more deadly. Great capture.

Very beautiful, Yamil. Well captured. Do they stay still for long, or are they very "scared" and jump away if disturbed? You did well here: neede the flash, too.

Hola Armando,
Saludos.

7+++++++++++ super macro qurido amigo.
Aqui tenemos muchas ranas de esas en la selva, pertenecientes a la familia Dendrobatidae, incluso existe una asociasión de Productores de Ranas Venenosas Progreso (ASPRAVEP) que se dedican a exportarlas a otros países.
